Inside Celine Dion’s $1.2M Home Where She Lives with ‘Pain’ —Her 3 Sons Are by Her Side

Celine Dion announced that she was diagnosed with a rare debilitating medical condition. Her sister Claudette Dion has since provided an update on her health.

“She’s doing everything to recover. She’s a strong woman,” said Claudette, adding that the family knows little about Celine’s condition. The Grammy Award winner’s sibling stated there is nothing much the family can do for the star to ease her “pain.”

Claudette, 74, highlighted the symptoms of the illness, saying, “There are spasms – they’re impossible to control. You know when people often jump up in the night because of a cramp in the leg or the calf? It’s a bit like that, but in all muscles.”

In December 2022, 55-year-old Celine revealed in an emotional video on social media that she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome.

The Candian native told fans that she was suffering from spasms that were affecting her daily routine, making it challenging for her to walk. The condition has also affected her vocal cords.

While on tour in Germany once, the songstress experienced muscle spasms just before going on stage to perform. She started panicking and told her team that she would not be able to go through with it.

However, she garnered the courage to perform but sounded nasal. She and her team decided to make some adjustments by lowering the song keys to accommodate her. The star, who said her condition has taught her to talk with her kids, later told fans that she was suffering from sinus and throat infections.Yet she did not even know what she was dealing with then and felt the burden of being dishonest with her fans. Celine, who grew up in a large musical family, has since canceled plans for concerts and decided to pause her Courage world tour until she eventually recovers and is able enough to grace the stage again.

Celine lives with her three sons, René-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson. She welcomed them with her late husband, René Angelil, who sadly died in January 2016 at age 73.The mother of three previously owned a waterpark in Florida after she and her spouse purchased a five-acre plot of land in 2008. They built their dream estate from scratch two years later.

The property, inspired by the Bahamas, featured 13 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. It also had various water features, including two pools, two slides, and a lazy river.

However, Celine, who started singing professionally at age 12, decided to sell the house after she made a career move to relocate to Las Vegas, where she signed a deal for her residency in 2005. Still, the abode on Jupiter Island, with a waterpark, remained on the market for quite some time. Celine only managed to make a sale four years later, selling it for $38.5 million at the time.
